The Lower Precinct is committed to compliance with environmental legislation and pollution prevention and also to continual improvement over time. In order to bring improvements into effect, objectives and targets have been established and will be reviewed on a defined periodic basis.
These will focus on:
- Prevention of pollution and nuisance.
- Improvement of energy efficiency and water usage.
- Waste management and improving waste recycling.
- Communicating an awareness and understanding of environmental issues amongst staff, tenants, contractors and members of the public and allowing staff to contribute towards environmental improvements.
This policy will be communicated to all employees and staff at the Lower Precinct shopping centre. It will also be displayed at various points around the centre and will also be available via the centre's web site.
